A Day of Discovery: Hertford Prep Visit to Kingshott

It was a great to see some of our Prep Schools come together, when Year 4 pupils from Hertford Prep visited Kingshott.

It was a busy day full of activities, where pupils had the chance to learn, explore and connect with new friends in a variety of exciting ways. Whether in the swimming pool, where they practised drills and built confidence in the water, or in the classroom, where creativity took centre stage, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The sushi-making session was a particular highlight. Meanwhile, art rooms were filled with colour and imagination, as pupils experimented with watercolours to create their own vibrant, Kandinsky-inspired masterpieces.

Throughout the day, there was a wonderful sense of curiosity and enthusiasm, with pupils embracing every opportunity to challenge themselves and discover new skills. Just as importantly, it was a chance to build connections, sharing experiences, supporting one another and creating lasting memories together.

By the end of the visit, it was clear that the day had been about much more than the activities themselves. It was about bringing two school communities together, celebrating creativity, confidence and collaboration

By coming together, pupils experience the strength of being part of something bigger- a supportive network that values community, creativity and personal growth. The opportunity to learn alongside peers from another school helps to build confidence, broaden perspectives and foster a genuine sense of belonging across the Group.
