Abbot’s Hill’s Achievements in Arts, Sports, and New Beginnings

Abbot’s Hill has been filled with energy, excitement, and remarkable achievements throughout our school community. From new facilities to outstanding accomplishments in sports and the arts, our School continues to flourish.

Our youngest learners have been enjoying imaginative adventures in their newly crafted larger outdoor sandpit, designed by Mr Rance. Meanwhile, Tiny Toes embraced the Easter spirit with a delightful egg hunt, uncovering hidden treasures of strawberries and raspberries.

The joy of reading came alive on World Book Day, as students and staff celebrated with creative costumes and literary activities, bringing beloved characters to life across the school.

The arts have taken centre stage, with St Nick’s Singers and our Year 9 choir securing first place at the North London Festival of Music, Speech & Drama. Their dedication and talent shone brightly, reflecting the strength of our music programme.

Our athletes have also shone with outstanding performances across a range of events. At the NSSA Open Ski Championships, Abbot’s Hill achieved 1st place in both Prep and Senior categories. Success continued at the ERSA School Championships, where our team claimed 2nd place overall. Year 9 pupils excelled at the National Schools Biathlon Championships, taking 3rd place, while our U11 and U13 netball squads impressed at the ISA Nationals, with the U13s placing in the top 12.

During the Easter break, our senior pupils embarked on a memorable netball tour to Barbados, blending international competition with team bonding. Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the Iceland Geography Tour, offering senior pupils an exciting opportunity to explore its breathtaking landscapes.

Creativity is thriving as our Year 6 prepare for their production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The pupils’ enthusiasm promises a fantastic showcase of talent and storytelling.

Exciting plans are underway as we prepare to become a co-educational school in September 2025. Work on our Pre-Prep building is set to begin in the summer, ensuring a smooth transition to this new chapter.

The Abbot’s Hill Parents’ Association (AHSPA) continues to enhance school life, recently raising funds for a new food trailer and gazebo.
The Spring Term has truly highlighted the vibrant spirit of Abbot’s Hill through our pupils’ many accomplishments. The dedication and ambition of our pupils, staff, and community ensure that every milestone is a celebration of creativity, achievement, and connection.
