Belmont IAPS Conference

This term Belmont, Mill Hill Prep, hosted the IAPS Heads Conference, welcoming Heads from across the Mill Hill Education Group and beyond. The day focused on Significant Strengths: Learnings from Mill Hill Education Group Preps, with lively and insightful discussions on the strategies our Prep Schools have employed to achieve outstanding inspection results.

Dr Susannah Abbott, Head of Belmont, and Mr Leon Roberts, Director of Prep Schools at Mill Hill Education Group, shared how forward planning at Belmont supports success throughout the year, while Ms Lotte Goldthorpe, Director of Sport and Activities, highlighted the extensive planning behind Belmont’s Co-Curricular and Sports programmes. This included collaboration with department leads from Mill Hill Prep and Mill Hill Senior ensure a seamless journey across all Schools.

Mr Douglas Brown from Hertford Prep reflected on the importance of Hertford Preps rebranding and having an external perspective to identify opportunities for improvement.

The conference provided a valuable space for Heads to explore ways to strengthen their Schools in an ever-changing educational landscape, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practice to ensure every pupil receives the best possible education. The day concluded with a tour of Belmont and its beautiful grounds, and a chance to enjoy lunch together.
