Celebrating Success: Academic Achievements and Milestones at Lyonsdown School

When looking at highlights of this year at Lyonsdown School, it is pleasing to note just how many there are to choose from. Our recently launched Toddler Group has been a great success, and we are all still celebrating receiving the Wellbeing Award, which recognises the incredible pastoral care that helps our School run so smoothly.

On the Academic side, our Year 6 results were exceptional, with all of our girls receiving one of their top choices. An impressive 71% of Year 6 students who applied to independent schools were offered scholarships in subjects ranging from Academics to Sport, Music, and Art. More recently, our strong House programme hosted a House Photography competition, judged by four-time Press Photographer of the year Ken Lennox.

Our Maths team faced the best in the country, finishing 8th and 15th out of 270 schools and making the semi-finals in Oxford. In English, two of our girls made the top ten in the ISEB writing competition, standing out from thousands of entries worldwide.

These achievements alone would make for a fantastic year, but we are still awaiting results from other competitions, including the Film and Animation competition we won last year and our school rock band's performance in the ISA Battle of the Bands.

These are just a few of the highlights from the rich and varied curriculum we offer - and there’s still half a term to go!
