Mill Hill:

Mill Hill’s 2026 GCSE results highlight continued improvements in academic standards and reflect the talent, hard work and commitment of its pupils. Initial results show that 25% of all grades were awarded at Grade 9, with over half achieving grades 9-8 and three quarters securing grades 9-7, equivalent to A*/A under the previous grading system. Final validated results, following reviews of marking, are expected to be slightly higher.

Standout subject performances included History, where 54% of grades were Grade 9 from a cohort of more than 100 pupils; English Literature, with 40% Grade 9 and 68% grades 9-8; and Religious Studies, where 36% achieved Grade 9 and 73% achieved grades 9-8. Creative subjects also excelled, with more than 35% of grades awarded at Grade 9 in both Art and Drama.

St Gabriel’s:

St Gabriel’s is celebrating another year of exceptional GCSE success, building on the excellent A Level results achieved by students last week and reinforcing the school’s strong tradition of academic excellence.

This year, 56% of all GCSE grades were awarded at grades 9-7, reflecting the high levels of achievement and aspiration across the year group. Impressively, 100% of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs at grades 9-4, demonstrating the breadth and consistency of success throughout the cohort.

Performance across a number of subject areas was particularly noteworthy. In Science, every pupil achieved at least a grade 4 in either Combined or Separate Sciences, with 70% of pupils studying Separate Chemistry and Physics achieving grades 9-7. Excellence was also evident across a range of disciplines, with all pupils taking Food Preparation & Nutrition, Religious Studies and Computer Science achieving grades 9-7.

Principal Ricki Smith praised the achievements of the year group, saying:
"Our Year 11 students have achieved a fantastic set of results, reflecting not only their hard work and dedication but also the holistic education that is at the heart of St Gabriel’s. We are proud to nurture confident, capable young people who leave GCSE study ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of Sixth Form and beyond."

Heathfield:

More than 80% of grades exceeded students’ nationally standardised targets. Overall, 64% of all grades were awarded at 9–7, while an impressive 40% were achieved at grades 9–8 (A*).

The breadth and depth of success were evident across the cohort. Every student achieved a pass in both Maths and Science, and more than 40% of students secured the highest possible grade 9 in English Literature, History and Spanish.
Value Added results once again exceeded an average of a full grade per subject per student, reflecting the exceptional progress made throughout their studies.
These results are a strong testament to the progress students make at Heathfield, where small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning enable every student to fulfil their potential.

Pangbourne College:

The cohort produced many individual success stories and enters Sixth Form in a strong position for A Level study. Standout subject performances included History, where 54% of grades were Grade 9 from a cohort of more than 100 pupils; English Literature, with 40% Grade 9 and 68% grades 9-8; and Religious Studies, where 36% achieved Grade 9 and 73% achieved grades 9-8. More than one third of all grades awarded were at grades 9-7, reflecting the cohort’s dedication, resilience and ambition.

The results were further strengthened by an exceptional Value Added score of +0.63, demonstrating the significant academic progress made by students during their time at the College. This measure compares pupils’ final GCSE outcomes with baseline predictions established on entry, and indicates that, on average, students achieved more than half a grade higher in each of their nine subjects than expected.

These results highlight the impact of Pangbourne College’s tailored teaching, strong pastoral support and effective mentoring, which enable pupils to exceed expectations and fulfil their potential. The College’s performance demonstrates its ability not only to support high achievers but also to help every pupil achieve results well above their original projections.

Headmaster Oliver Knight praised the achievements of the cohort, recognising the commitment of pupils, staff and parents throughout the examination period. He also noted that the students are well placed to progress into Sixth Form, where they will continue to contribute as leaders and role models within the school community.

Tudor Hall:
The Year 11 cohort achieved an excellent set of GCSE results, with significant increases in top grades across a wide range of subjects. A total of 43% of all grades were awarded at grades 9-7, almost double the national average of 22%, while 28% of grades were achieved at grades 9-8. Several pupils attained seven or more GCSEs at grades 9 or 8, reflecting both their hard work and academic excellence.

Strong performances were seen across the curriculum, with more than 50% of pupils achieving grades 9-7 in English, French, History, Art, Drama, Religious Studies, and Food & Nutrition. These results demonstrate the high quality of teaching and the strength, breadth and flexibility of the school's academic offering.

Framlingham College:
The year group celebrated a strong set of results, with outstanding individual achievements across the cohort. An impressive 94% of all grades were awarded at 9–4, representing an increase of 38% compared with last year.

Behind every result is an individual story of hard work, determination, challenges overcome and ambitions pursued. Pupils worked exceptionally hard throughout their studies, supported by teachers who know them as individuals and encourage them to discover their full potential.

For many of the Year 11 pupils, their Framlingham story will continue into Sixth Form, where they will be joined by new students embarking on their own Framlingham journey.
Abbott’s Hill:

Congratulations to the Abbot’s Hill Class of 2026, who have worked incredibly hard over the last couple of years and who today are celebrating their impressive GCSE achievements. More than a third of students achieved the top tier Grade 9 in at least one of their subjects and a solid 41% of grades achieved were Grade 9-7 - around double the national average.

Cobham Hall:
The Class of 2026 achieved an excellent set of results, reflecting the determination, resilience and talent of a diverse cohort. The outcomes are particularly impressive given that 29% of Year 11 pupils had an identified special educational need (SEN), while many international students joined the school with beginner-level English.

Overall, 56% of all grades were awarded at grades 9-6 (A*-B), while 70% were achieved at grades 9-5 (A*-high C), with an average grade of 5.6. Several subjects recorded outstanding results, including 100% pass rates in Biology, Chemistry, French, Music, EAL, Further Mathematics and PE. Art, Computing, Physics, Mathematics, Geography and English Language all achieved a higher proportion of grades 9-8 than the national average, while French and History exceeded the national average for grades 9-7.

A particular highlight was Further Mathematics, where pupils achieved a 100% pass rate, with all grades awarded at 9-5. Notably, the subject was introduced this year as an extracurricular enrichment opportunity and taught through lunchtime sessions, making the achievement even more remarkable.
