Kingshott Launches New Brand Film: This is not just a school
Kingshott has launched a powerful new brand film, This is not just a school, capturing the spirit, values and community that lie at the heart of the school.
Rather than taking a traditional approach centred on facilities, statistics or academic outcomes, the film was shaped by the voices of those who know Kingshott best: its pupils, parents, staff and wider community.
The project began with a simple statement: "This is not just a school."

The project began with a simple statement: "This is not just a school."
To explore what that truly means, Kingshott spent time listening to the experiences of families, children, teachers and school leaders, asking why they chose Kingshott and how it has shaped their children's lives. What emerged was a consistent and compelling picture of a school that places equal value on wellbeing, character development and academic achievement.
Parents spoke of a community where children feel safe to be themselves, encouraged to explore, take risks and discover what they are capable of. They described teachers who know every child as an individual, inspiring them to aim high whilst remaining grounded in kindness and compassion. Pupils shared their experiences of friendship, adventure, creativity and the confidence to embrace new opportunities.
These stories became the foundation of the film. Produced and filmed by Affixxius. Set against the backdrop of Kingshott's beautiful 23-acre site, affectionately referred to by many pupils as their "back garden", the film captures the energy, warmth and sense of possibility that characterise day-to-day life at the school. Through authentic moments of learning, play and discovery, it offers a genuine insight into an environment where confidence, curiosity and character are nurtured alongside academic success.
More than a marketing campaign, This is not just a school is a celebration of the people who make Kingshott what it is.
David Weston Head of Kingshott, said:
"When we began creating this film, we wanted to tell a story that felt honest and true to life at Kingshott. Rather than deciding what that story should be ourselves, we listened to our community.
The conversations we had were insightful, heartfelt and inspiring. Again and again, we heard about a school where children feel valued, supported and empowered to become the very best version of themselves.
This film reflects what makes Kingshott special: not just our beautiful setting or the opportunities we provide, but the people who bring our community to life every day. We are incredibly grateful to the pupils, families and staff who contributed their time, enthusiasm and experiences to help make this film possible."
