Well, if your child is at a Prep School that is part of the Mill Hill Education Group, then that ideal world is within your grasp!
The Mill Hill Education Group Senior School Pathway will offer pupils at Keble, Lyonsdown and St Joseph's In The Park the opportunity to receive a conditional offer for 11+ or 13+ places at a Group Senior School without having to sit entrance examinations.
Offers will be based on a Head’s recommendation, considering academic suitability, character, and internal assessments, including standardised scores collected by the Prep Schools. This collaborative process ensures that each offer aligns with the pupil’s abilities and potential.
11+ Offers (Year 7 Places): Issued in the Spring Term of Year 5 for entry to senior schools: Abbot’s Hill, Belmont (Mill Hill Prep), Cobham Hall, Kingshott and Westbrook Hay.
13+ Offers (Year 9 Places): Issued in the Spring Term of Year 6 for entry to senior schools: Abbot’s Hill, Cobham Hall, Kingshott, Mill Hill School and Westbrook Hay. Chance vacancies for Year 9 places may also be available in Year 7 and Year 8.

This new initiative offers pupils from Keble Prep, St Joseph’s In The Park, and Lyonsdown School the opportunity to receive early, conditional offers to one or more of our Senior Schools without sitting entrance exams.
Based on the Head’s recommendation and internal assessments, the process prioritises pupil wellbeing, reduces stress, and supports deeper learning. Families then benefit from a clear, early transition plan and peace of mind. Our Prep Heads remain committed to providing tailored and impartial independent advice to families about the most suitable setting for their child, but this approach reflects Mill Hill Education Group’s commitment to a holistic, pupil-centred educational journey."
