Power for Good: What Our Schools Did This Anti-Bullying Week

This Anti-Bullying Week, schools across our community embraced the theme Power for Good by promoting kindness, respect, and positive action. Students and staff took part in a range of activities, from classroom discussions and creative projects to assemblies focused on empathy and inclusion. Many schools encouraged pupils to wear odd socks to celebrate individuality and spark conversations about diversity. Through these initiatives, our schools demonstrated how small acts of kindness can create a big impact, reinforcing the message that everyone has the power to make a difference.

Kingshott

Kingshott’s Junior School pupils embraced Anti-Bullying Week by celebrating individuality on Odd Socks Day and exploring how they can use their “Power for Good” to make a positive impact. Through assemblies, activities, and class discussions, the children reflected on kindness, empathy, and standing up for others, demonstrating that together, they all have the Power for Good!

Lyonsdown

Lyonsdown pupils proudly kicked off Anti-Bullying Week by celebrating Odd Socks Day, embracing individuality and showing that it’s okay to be different. Through this fun and colourful event, the girls demonstrated the School’s commitment to kindness, respect, and inclusion, standing united against bullying. Well done to all for making such a vibrant statement!

Belmont, Mill Hill Prep

Belmont pupils have been embracing Anti-Bullying Week with enthusiasm, taking part in the 1,000 Acts of Kindness challenge, celebrating Odd Socks Day, and reflecting on the theme during a special assembly. The pupil have been spreading kindness, celebrating individuality, and showing that being different is something to be proud of, demonstrating Belmont’s commitment to a caring, inclusive community.

Cobham Hall

Cobham Hall pupils took part in a Community Positivity board, writing uplifting notes to spread kindness throughout the School. They also embraced the “Shred Your Stress” activity, where staff and pupils could write down their worries and shred them, promoting wellbeing and a positive mindset.

Heathfield

Heathfield marked the beginning of Anti-Bullying Week with Odd Socks Day. This annual event provided a meaningful opportunity for pupils to reflect on the values of kindness, respect, and inclusion, reinforcing the School’s commitment to stand together against bullying.

Grimsdell, Mill Hill Pre-Prep

Grimsdell embraced Anti-Bullying Week with a variety of activities. Pupils watched an engaging anti-bullying video entitled For the Birds, while some pupil explored getting to know their friends through questions such as “What is your favourite colour?”. The whole school also participated in a special assembly on Monday and celebrated Odd Socks Day.

Abbot's Hill

Abbot’s Hill pupils took part in Anti-Bullying Week by engaging in activities designed to raise awareness about bullying and explore how they can make positive choices by choosing kindness. They also celebrated Odd Socks Day.
