As always, it is a pleasure to reflect on what has been a vibrant and rewarding 2025 so far at St Joseph's In The Park.
To start with a wonderful milestone, we are delighted to announce that all our Year 6 pupils have received offers from their first-choice senior schools. For the first time ever, two pupils will continue their educational journey within the Group - following the new Senior School Pathway - as they transition to both Kingshott and Cobham Hall. We are incredibly proud of their achievements, which are a true testament to their hard work and perseverance.
The 2025 chapter of our academic year has been enriched by a focus on outdoor learning and connecting with nature. Our children continue to make the most of the beautiful surroundings at St Joseph’s In The Park, enjoying our Forest School programme and swimming pool. A particular highlight was welcoming children from outside St Joseph’s, including pupils from the Group School Lyonsdown, for swimming sessions and a wonderful Outdoor Learning Day.
While we take full advantage of our local environment to enhance our curriculum, residential trips remain a cherished addition. Our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils enjoyed a fantastic three-day residential in Norfolk, taking part in water sports and team-building activities amidst stunning natural scenery. Meanwhile, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils embarked on a five-day cultural immersion in Paris, where they visited iconic landmarks, experienced French culture, and bonded as a group in unforgettable ways.
At the end of the Spring Term, Year 5 and 6 had another exciting adventure - a ski trip marking our first-ever joint expedition with Keble Prep. This thrilling partnership saw pupils take to the slopes for a week of learning, challenge, and fun, in the snow. For many, it was their first time skiing, and they embraced the experience with enthusiasm and resilience. The trip was a tremendous success, not only for the skills gained but also for the friendships formed and confidence built along the way.
As always, what truly makes our school community special is the spirit of our children. Their curiosity, kindness, and determination shine through in everything we do, and it has been wonderful to see them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the projects and developments planned for the rest of the academic year. These include new enrichment programmes, inter-school collaborations, and even more opportunities to broaden our pupils’ horizons. We can’t wait to share these with you in the future.
