Last week, pupils and staff came together to create a beautiful art installation: a field of poppies displayed on the school's iconic striped lawns.
Each poppy was carefully painted onto a wooden disc and placed on the field, resulting in a striking display of colour and remembrance. It was a joyful afternoon bringing the project to life, and the final outcome is truly remarkable.
Today pupils and staff gathered for a Service of Remembrance, led by Rev’d Will Gibbs, with moments of prayer, reflection, and beautiful performances from our Chamber Choir and St Nick’s Singers. Head

As a final mark of remembrance, the whole school gathered in the Field of Poppies to pay their respects.

On Tuesday, 11 November, the whole Kingshott community came together for a moving Remembrance Service to honour those who have given their lives in service to their country. Pupils and staff gathered in quiet reflection, united in gratitude and respect for the fallen.
The service began with words of welcome and reflection from Mr Weston, Head of Kingshott, who then gave a poignant reading of The Soldier by Rupert Brooke. The Head Boy, Oscar, and Head Girl, Ellie, each delivered thoughtful readings, reminding everyone of the importance of remembrance and the enduring values of courage, sacrifice, and peace.
A solemn silence was observed as the Last Post was beautifully played by Nicholas. We thank our brass ensemble and choir Phoebe, Sasha, Vicky, Nicholas, Noah, Ethan, Walter, Jake, and William for marking a moment of collective reflection across the school grounds with music.
